April 22, 2024

United States Marine Corps The American Baseball Coaches Association is proud to announce the expansion of its partnership with the United States Marine Corps, who becomes an ABCA Home Run Partner–the Association’s highest level of partnership. In addition to their sponsorship of the ABCA Assistant Coach of the Year Award, the Marines become the presenting sponsor of the 2024-25 ABCA Membership Program.

“We are humbled by the continued support of The Marines,” said ABCA Executive Director Craig Keilitz. “Their positive impact could be felt firsthand at the 2024 ABCA Convention, and we are excited to work with them in the years to come to not only highlight our game’s best leaders but also educate and empower coaches with the tools necessary to lead their players.”

Earlier this year, The Marines took part in the 80th annual ABCA Convention hosted in Dallas, Texas, sponsoring the Rookie Coaches Mentorship Meeting and a “Wake Up and Workout” event, as well as presenting on the Expo Theater stage.

"We're excited to continue supporting the ABCA and its member coaches who foster resilience and determination within their organizations, programs, and communities," said Lt. Col. Thomas Dolan. "The United States Marines Corps is committed to fostering a fighting spirit, and we're honored to be working with a team that holds these and similar principles in such high regard."

The Marines are set to host a free webinar for ABCA members this fall, and members are encouraged to apply for their Coaches Workshops, which are hosted throughout the spring and summer.

About The Marines
You don’t join the Marines. You become one.
Ours is a noble path and demanding journey reserved for those with the willingness to engage and determination to defeat all mental, moral, and physical requirements to become Marines. In or out of uniform, it’s the fighting spirit found inside every Marine that drives them to victory.

As our Nation is threatened by shifting threats and unknown challenges, the Marine Corps must remain committed to the three promises we make to our Nation – We Make Marines, We Win Our Nation’s Battles and We Develop Quality Citizens.

The Marine Corps seeks to find and attract the Marine of tomorrow – a smarter, lifelong learner who meets our tough physical standards and understands that while we modernize equipment and tactics, our success depends on their ability to adapt to emergent threats in any environment.

The United States Marine Corps recognizes the role of coaches, educators, mentors, and parents who inspire that fighting spirit, and we need your help in finding the future leaders of our force. Whether your interest lies in helping us identify high-achieving students and athletes or inviting us to help you motivate students and steer them toward success, we would like to get to know you.
