The ABCA offers Professional Development and Continuing Education Credit documentation as a part of the annual ABCA Convention. Coaches that attend the ABCA Convention will have access to the documentation in the "Participation" tab under "My Profile" of their ABCA account by February 1 after the convention concludes.
"The ABCA Convention has always been about providing our coaches with the most coaching and educational resources possible," said ABCA Executive Director Craig Keilitz. "Numerous coaches that we have spoken with, especially at the high school level, have mentioned how beneficial this program is in helping them meet their professional development credit requirements. It is our goal that by providing this documentation, our coaches are not only gaining valuable coaching and teaching knowledge through our convention but also receiving credit for continuing their education and refining their skills."
Documentation includes a letter verifying attendance & participation in the clinics as well as a certificate of completion. Coaches can request any additional necessary documentation by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
STEPS FOR COACHES:
1) Register for the ABCA Convention!
2) Prior to the convention, if necessary, confirm with your school or school district that the ABCA Convention is an acceptable form of professional development.
3) Attend the next ABCA Convention & pick up your badge.
4) Receive documentation in your ABCA account by Feb. 1 after the conclusion of the convention.
