Youth Coaches Session

The American Baseball Coaches Association once again hosted a Youth Coaches Session, presented by GameChanger, at the ABCA Convention in 2019. The ABCA introduced the Youth Coaches Session, which ran concurrent to the ABCA clinics and focused on topics for coaches of youth-level teams up to age 14 years old, at the 2018 Convention in Indianapolis

Hundreds of coaches took part in the 2019 Youth Coaches Session, which ran two days and featured seven clinics each day on topics including pitching, hitting, base running, defense, practice planning and program organization. The Youth Coaches Session is open to all registered convention attendees.

The 2020 Youth Coaches Session will run from Friday, Jan. 3 through Saturday, Jan. 4. The 2020 ABCA Convention will be held at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee from January 2-5, 2020. Registration for the 2020 ABCA Convention will open on September 1. ABCA Official Hotels will also open room blocks on September 1. The complete schedule including speakers for the 2020 Youth Coaches Session will be released later this fall.

The ABCA, founded in 1945, is the primary professional organization for baseball coaches at the amateur level. Its over 10,000 members represent all 50 states and 25 countries. Since its initial meeting of 27 college baseball coaches in June 1945, Association membership has broadened to include eight divisions: NCAA Division I, II and III, NAIA, NJCAA, Pacific Association Division, High School and Youth.
