ABCA Statement on COVID-19 and the 2021 ABCA Convention

March 12, 2020

The American Baseball Coaches Association extends its deepest concern and support of the game of baseball, its coaches and players, partners, exhibitors, vendors, colleagues and friends who have been impacted by the 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation.

The ABCA continues to monitor the rapidly-changing developments of COVID-19 and its potential impact on the 2021 ABCA Convention in Washington, D.C. We will continue to gather information as the situation evolves in order to make sound decisions moving forward. The health and welfare of everyone involved is the most important factor. At this time, we are continuing to make plans for the 2021 ABCA Convention in January.

The ABCA understands the immense time and effort invested by companies organizing displays and logistics for the ABCA Trade Show. Therefore, we are pushing back the exhibit booth deposit deadline from March 12 to April 2, 2020 as we all continue to monitor this evolving situation.

For ABCA Convention attendees (coaches), the registration timeline remains in place with early registration beginning on August 17, 2020 and new member registration beginning on September 1, 2020.

Moving forward, we will follow the directives of the Center for Disease Control and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and Health and Human Services. We will keep you abreast of any new developments regarding the ABCA Convention and our association.

The ABCA extends its support as our industry endures this situation together.
