This week's ABCA podcast episode, presented by Netting Professionals, featured ABCA member and founder of Athletes Against Anxiety and Depression Foundation, China McCarney. In the episode, McCarney shares resources coaches can provide players or anyone suffering from a mental health battle. McCarney founded the Athletes Against Anxiety and Depression Foundation in 2016 because of his own personal struggles with panic attacks, anxiety and depression. The foundation's mission is dedicated to providing resources to anyone that suffers from a mental health battle.

In conjunction with the podcast episode, we released a three-part "Establishing a Mental Health Culture" video series for ABCA members. The initial video, which was released on Monday, Jan. 11 and is 15-minutes long, features an introduction to mental health topics and ways to help you prioritize mental health in your program & culture. The second segment was released on Wednesday, Jan. 13 and is an 18-minute video to help coaches implement a daily 10-minute mental health practice with their teams. The final installment, a 22-minute video released today, Jan. 15, recaps the entire video series and discusses the responsibility coaches have as leaders to care for their players and look out for their mental health.
