Tabbed as the University of Missouri's 15th head coach, Kerrick Jackson became the first Black Southeastern Conference head baseball coach in 2024. He also became the fourth Black collegiate coach to guide a Power Five baseball program. Jackson previously lead Southern University to the 2019 Southwestern Athletic Conference championship and NCAA Regional berth and guided the University of Memphis to its first winning season in six years in 2023. Jackson's influence extends beyond coaching. He has served as President of the MLB Draft League and helped form the ABCA's Diversity in Baseball Committee and served as its chairman since its creation in 2018, while serving on the Board of Directors.
