John McCormack completed his 15th year atop Florida Atlantic University as head coach in 2023. He previously served 11 years as associate head coach and seven years as an assistant coach, beginning in 1991. The 2023 campaign marked the 15th straight season over .500 under McCormack's direction. Since he took over in 2009, the Owls have finished top four in conference position in 11 of 14 seasons. McCormack led FAU to four regular season conference champions, one postseason conference championship and qualified for NCAA Regionals six times. McCormack was recognized with the AFLAC National Assistant Coach of the Year Award in 2003 and currently serves on the ABCA Board of Directors.
