Under Whalen's leadership, Dartmouth has accumulated 629 victories in 35 years. Whalens 600th win put him fifth among Ive League coaches at one school in any sport and six shy of having the most in Ancient Eight baseball. The Big Green have also won two Ive titles and 11 Red Rolfe Division crowns. The 2022 season re-established the Big Green as a team to be reckoned with, winning sic of the seven conference series to finish third in the standings. Whalen is a Lifetime member of the ABCA and serves on the Board of Directors and chaired the committee for the Lefty Gomez Award.
