Since 1994, head coach Stu Fritz has guided the Hope College baseball team to 10 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) championships and four NCAA Division III tournament appearances. The 10 league championships are the second-most in MIAA history. Fritz has also served at a national level as president of the ABCA in 2020 and currently serving on the Board of Directors. He coached a youth team from 1996 to 1998 through the Roberto Clemente All-Stars program in San Juan, Puerto Rico and in 2001 he coached a U.S. youth all-star team in Australia. In 1998, his alma mater honored him as Wartburg's Alumni Coach of the Year.
