Keith Madison, Kentucky baseball's winningest coach, retired in 2003 after 25 seasons and 737 victories. His coaching produced 85 players drafted or signed professionally, including 17 Major Leaguers like 2006 Cy Young Award recipient Brandon Webb. Madison, a former pro player, transitioned to coaching after attending Western Kentucky University. At Kentucky, he became the third-winningest coach in SEC history before he left. Madison's influence extends beyond Kentucky; he served as USA Baseball's pitching coach and was inducted into multiple halls of fame. Post-coaching, Madison worked with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and SCORE International, leading charitable efforts in the Dominican Republic. He's a member of the ABCA's Board of Directors and served as its President in 2005. He earned the Lefty Gomez Award in 2013 for his contributions to amateur baseball nationally and internationally.
