Bob Whalen, a pillar of collegiate baseball, enters his 36th season as Dartmouth's head coach in 2025. With 642 career victories, Whalen stands as the winningest baseball coach at a single institution in Ivy League history. During his tenure, he has led the Big Green to two Ivy League titles, 11 Red Rolfe Division crowns, and helped produce 28 professional players, including five who reached the major leagues. A lifetime member of the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA), Whalen is a respected leader in the coaching community. He has chaired the prestigious Lefty Gomez Award Committee, recognizing individuals who have made significant contributions to baseball. Whalen is also set to serve as ABCA President for 2025-26, continuing his long-standing impact on the sport. Known for developing talent, Whalen has coached five Ivy Players of the Year, four Ivy Pitchers of the Year, and a league-record eight Ivy Rookies of the Year.
