About Captain Goetz
Goetz was born in Denver, Colorado where he graduated from Regis Jesuit High School in 2010 and earned a four-year varsity letter in baseball, playing as a pitcher, shortstop, and centerfielder. He then attended Princeton University where he played varsity baseball for four years as a pitcher and graduated in 2014. After graduation, he reported to Officer Candidate School and completed the 10-week Officer Candidate Course and was then assigned the MOS of 1802, Tank Officer, at The Basic School where he received further training at Armor Basic Officer Leader Course in Fort Benning, Georgia. Currently, serving as the Marine Officer Instructor of the Auburn-Tuskegee NROTC Consortium and pursuing a Master's Degree in Sports Coaching through the University of Denver online. He is also a Performance Coach with Tread Athletics LLC, where he provides remote coaching to pitchers at the high school, collegiate, and professional levels both domestically and internationally. His personal decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal. He is also a 2010 All-State Honorable Mention and the 2011 Ivy League Closer of the Year.
