The 2025 ABCA Convention is slated to take place at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in Washington, D.C. from January 2-5, 2025! Marking the return of the World's Largest Baseball Convention to the nation's capital for the first time since 1975, the annual event draws over 8,000 baseball coaches from around the world for four days of continuous baseball excitement! Registration opens to everyone on Tuesday, September 3, with exclusive Priority Registration access granted to 2023-24 ABCA Members in August before opening to everyone. The kickoff for the 2025 ABCA Convention is scheduled for Thursday, January 2, featuring the opening of the ABCA Trade Show and the start of Expo Theater presentations. Running from January 2 to January 4, the ABCA Trade Show will host over 350 companies showcasing cutting-edge baseball equipment, technology, and services. Many exhibitors will debut new products for the first time, along with special sales offers for coaches at the Trade Show. The Expo Theater, presented by Hour-A-Thon, will include product demos and other presentations from participating companies throughout the three-day Trade Show.
The Main-Stage Clinics, presented by Wilson/ATEC, will kick off on Friday, January 3, featuring a presentation from the head coach who secures the 2024 NCAA Div. I National Championship, determined in Omaha in June. ABCA Second Vice President John McCormack (Florida Atlantic) and Third Vice President Jim Cahill (North Forsyth (Ga.) High School) are compiling an outstanding lineup of nearly 25 speakers for the clinics. The ABCA Clinics will extend through the morning of Sunday, January 5. The full speaker lineup will be unveiled in early September!
Simultaneously, the Youth Coaches Session, presented by GameChanger, is set for Friday, January 3, and Saturday, January 4, offering nearly 15 presentations tailored specifically for coaches of youth-level teams up to age 14. The Youth Coaches Session speaker lineup will be announced in mid-September!
Following each presentation in both the Main-Stage Session and Youth Coaches Session, the clinic speaker will engage in a Question and Answer breakout session with all attendees..
Additional planned activities during the 2025 ABCA Convention include the ABCA Hall of Fame Banquet, honoring the Lefty Gomez Award recipient and inducting the newest ABCA Hall of Fame Class. The schedule also includes Divisional Coaches Meetings & Rookie Coaches Mentorship on Thursday evening, the ABCA Coaches Social in the Trade Show on Friday evening, eight position-specific Hot Stove Panel Discussions on Friday and Saturday evenings, and Diversity in Baseball Committee Workshops on Saturday morning.
For those members unable to attend the Convention in-person, the ABCA will once again offer a Clinic Live Video Stream, which will feature all of the Main-Stage presentations and Q&A Forums, as well as the Youth Coaches Session clinics.
All coaches who register for the 2025 ABCA Convention or ABCA Clinic Live Video Stream will receive the entire set of on-demand clinic videos from the event, which includes the Main-Stage, Youth Coaches Session and Expo Theater presentations, in their ABCA account by February 1, 2025. All other ABCA members will receive access to the on-demand video set as part of their membership benefits later in the membership year.
