Rob Hahne, the ABCA's Youth Baseball Division Chair, has been voted by the ABCA Executive Committee to serve on the ABCA Board of Directors. The vote took place during the ABCA Executive Committee meeting on Friday, January 7th at the 2022 ABCA Convention in Chicago. Hahne fills the seat vacated by John McCormack, head coach of Florida Atlantic, who was voted by the ABCA membership to serve as Fourth Vice President in 2022. McCormack will remain on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee in his Vice Presidential role.

The ABCA Executive Committee meets twice annually on the Wednesday prior to the ABCA Convention and on the Friday during the Convention. The committee is charged with reviewing the business and affairs of the Association and its committees in accordance with the policies of the Association and Board of Directors. The current ABCA President, most recent Past President and all four Vice Presidents all serve on the committee. Each division – NCAA Div. I, II & III, NAIA, Junior College, High School, Youth and Travel Baseball is also represented by a Chair that is voted on by that division's membership to serve on the committee. Last year, the Board of Directors also unanimously approved the addition of the Diversity in Baseball Committee chair to also serve on the Executive Committee. Three members of the Executive Committee are voted on by the group to serve simultaneous three-year terms on the association's Board of Directors.

Hahne, a 10-year ABCA member, joined the ABCA Executive Committee following the 2020 ABCA Convention in Nashville. In addition to his role as Chair of the ABCA Youth Baseball Division, Hahne also serves on the ABCA's Youth Divisional Committee and Travel Baseball Committee. Hahne is very active in the State of Virginia's amateur baseball circuit, serving as Head Coach at Westfield High School, Executive Director of the Northern Virginia Travel Baseball League and Chair of the Fairfax County Baseball Council. Hahne is also the Founder of the American Travel Baseball Alliance.

The ABCA Board of Directors is the group in charge of leading the largest amateur baseball coaching association in the World. The Board consists of all past ABCA Presidents, the current ABCA President and Vice Presidents and the three Divisional Chairs from the Executive Committee. Hahne joins Jim Cahill, the ABCA High School Division Chair, and Scott Laverty, the ABCA's NCAA Div. III Chair, as the current Executive Committee members serving on the Board.

The mission of the Board of Directors, as outlined in the ABCA Bylaws, is to establish the policy and principles of conducting the affairs of the Association, act on Constitution and Bylaw revisions, adopt proposed budgets and oversee financial affairs of the Association and employ the ABCA staff to efficiently conduct the business of the organization. The Board of Directors meets four times annually, twice during the ABCA Convention and twice in Omaha, Neb. during the NCAA Div. I College World Series.
